ABOUT BUDDHACARE
BuddhaCare has been born out of the need to present the Buddha’s teachings from a natural perspective without any cultural and ethnic overlay, and to provide the key tenets of Buddhist practice in a way which is relevant to our contemporary and fast changing society currently faced with the many serious challenging issues such as conflicts and wars, environment crisis, health problems, degradation of natural resources, respect for human dignity, sustainable peace and development and the general malaise that affects all globalised societies.
BuddhaCare encourages Buddhists and interested people to appropriately study, practise, refine and promote the Buddha Dharma (Buddha’s teachings) in line with the contemporary changing world. BuddhaCare brings the Buddha Dharma and Applied Buddhism to the community through a variety of activities in charity, sustainable business development, education and training, environment, health care, disaster relief, ageing and disability, family and community services. BuddhaCare may play a facilitating and moderating role in the national and worldwide engaged Buddhism activities for effective mutual support and the sharing of resources among Buddhist organisations.
