R20 International Summit of Religious Authorities 2023
The R20 International Summit of Religious Authorities took place on 27 November, 2023 in Jakarta. Dr. Henry Dang of BuddhaCare participated as a guest speaker. At the opening ceremony, Indonesian President Mr. Joko "Jokowi" Widodo delivered a speech emphasizing the crucial role of religion, religious leaders, and society in the pursuit of peace.
During the summit, Dr. Dang expressed a shared sentiment among the delegation, emphasizing the important role of religion in promoting peace in both the Middle East and Ukraine.

Dr. Henry Dang attended the Graduation Ceremony at the Department of Buddhist Studies, Subharti University on March 23, 2023. The ceremony awarded Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Philosophy degrees to Sangas and Bhikkhuni Sangas from Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam. Among the attendees were Professor Heero Hito PhD, Chief Advisor, and Professor Venerable Chndrakirti, the head of the department. The graduation ceremony took place under the Bodhi tree.
On March 22, 2023 at 11:15am, Henry Hien Van Dang was awarded the Doctor of Letters (D. Litt) by Hon. Arif Mohammed Khan, the Governor of Kerala. The prestigious ceremony took place at the Subharti University Convention Centre and was attended by distinguished guests including Madam Chancellor Stuti Kacker and various Vice Chancellors representing the Indian Government.
